“The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you figure out why.” Mark Twain (and others)

Do you ever feel like you’re sleepwalking through life? In our increasingly busy and complex world, life can seem overwhelming, and getting through the day can feel like a full-time job. But it doesn’t have to be like this. I believe we all have what it takes to live a full life, despite life’s challenges.

Growing up with parents who had suffered significant World War II-related trauma in Europe while they were young and who did not have the opportunity to heal, I began to realize I had an empathetic ear that my parents needed, even though my siblings and I suffered our own trauma. I spent my early years listening to them as they shared their personal and marital troubles with me. I developed a fascination with the human mind and a strong drive to understand why people think, feel, and behave the way they do.

I bring a vast array of professional and personal experiences to my work. I was born in Germany, grew up in France, lived in Mexico, and made Houston, Texas, my home in 1995.  In France, I worked in construction, served in the military, and was a police officer. In Mexico, I sold educational materials and taught French. As a college student in Houston, Texas, I worked for a while as a tutor in a private high school for teenagers whose behavior had resulted in their being expelled from public schools. After receiving my BBA, I accumulated over 20 years of Houston, Texas-based corporate accounting and finance experience in the context of small firms, mid-sized companies, and multi-billion-dollar multinational corporations.

I bring the depth and range of my experience to my work and continue to be a life-long student. I’ve personally experienced cross-border relocations, learned other languages, adapted to new cultures, changed careers, and gone through existential turmoil. I help my clients navigate the challenges of career decisions, geographic relocations, cultural assimilations, communication difficulties, and relationship discords. I believe that your challenges are not necessarily insurmountable and am passionate about helping people wake up to their true selves so they can live fully with more peace of mind, inner freedom, and a deeper experience of love in their hearts. Whichever situation you currently find yourself in, there is hope.

I am a pre-licensed therapist in the final year of a Marriage and Family Therapist Master’s program with significant personal, professional, and multicultural life experience. I'm currently transitioning from over 20 years of corporate accounting and finance experience to become a
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I look forward to our collaboration.
